A bit better than recently.

So, I have been under a lot of stress here recently. I found out shortly before Christmas that I was going to have to find yet ANOTHER place to live. I mean, we all know I love to move, but five times in a year is a bit, even for me. Add to that, when I signed up for this whole Czech Republic thing, never in a million years did I think I would be living in any place other than Prague. So as much as I like it, finding myself in a small Czech town, surrounded by people who don't really speak English when I don't speak Czech and refuse to help learn Czech so they can practice their English, while good for business, has been a bit of a trial for me. (I mean we all know I love to talk and talk and talk and talk. If this has taught me anything, it is the art of silence.) And add to that, I have had the issue of trying to find an apartment under these circumstances has been, well, completely stressful.

Thankfully, I have found a place and some people who speak pretty decent English and are sort of willing to help me with my Czech . I have been around long enough now to have people say hello to me on the street, things are looking a little more familiar and my mom gets here in a week. All of this has lent itself to an improvement of my mood and a sense of accomplishment. Like, if I can somehow manage to do all of this with a less than remedial grasp of the language surrounding me I can do pretty much anything. Now, just to get off my ass and do it.
