Six months ago today

I grabbed my bags, boarded a plane and left my life in California behind me. True, at that point it was only supposed to be for a year, but even then, I knew it was going to be an incredible journey.

Now here I am six months, four hairstyles, three hair colours and almost 30 pounds less later and I still feel like I am in some sort of dream. I have explored some of the most amazingly glorious cities Europe has to offer, stood in the same palaces as one of the longest reigning Empires in the Western world, been serenaded by Irish, German, Austrian, Dutch and Czech fellows, made out with some of the most amazingly good looking men I have ever met, spent the day in bed, being nursed through a migraine by quite possibly the most quintessentially "Gillian's type" man ever (or as my mother would say "Oh, that guy again") and made some of the coolest friends a girl can ask for.

If these first six months are any indication of how the next six months are going to be, I say bring it.
